The STEM Institute at Newton College and Career Academy provides a structure to expose STEM Associates to a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) courses and academic experiences specifically designed to prepare them for the rigor demonstrated at the collegiate level.
The STEM Institute program of study emphasizes the development of problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the pursuit of both independent and collaborative research projects. Engaging in a problem/project-based curriculum, students of the STEM Institute learn to plan research projects, work with others, synthesize new knowledge, generate novel solutions, and communicate effectively about their
