Carly is the Founder and Executive Chair of New Sector Alliance. In addition, Carly serves on the leadership team of the Career Management Center at Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she oversees career development for all MBA and mid-career students. She leads Stanford Business School's Career and Life Design program, which she created in 2014 in partnership with Stanford d.school. She also serves as board chair of New Sector Alliance. Carly founded New Sector in 2000, served as CEO until 2013, and rejoined as board chair in 2017. She serves on the advisory boards of the GreenLight Fund and MannLab.
Carly has an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was awarded a Horace W. Goldsmith Fellowship for outstanding contributions to society. She also has a BA in economics, magna cum laude, from Princeton University.Â
Janelle joined the New Sector team in summer of 2018 as the Chicago Summer Program Director, and transitioned to the role of Program Director in 2019. Janelle boasts a wealth of knowledge about the social sector, with over twenty years of experience working in nonprofit management and development in the Chicago area. Janelle holds an MA in Arts Administration and Policy from The School of Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in English from Northwestern University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two young children.
