Spring 2023 Workshop Schedule

Virtually join the Conflict Workshop Series to learn more about how to interact with others in a way that invites change and understanding by diving into the methods of non-violent communication and social emotional learning.


February 8th at noon Using Non-Violent Communication

This workshop is an introduction to Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication. The framework for providing a judgement free statement will be explored and put into practice. The importance of articulating or feelings and needs during a conflict will be explored.


March 8th noon Conflict is Like Onions

This workshop will explore the nestled model of conflict and the Thomas–Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument to explore how we naturally react to conflict, as well as thinking about how assessing the importance of the relationships and the issue or goal can be a tool for choosing how to react in disagreement.


April 5th at noon Preparing for Difficult Conversations

Building on non-violent communication techniques this workshop will discuss how to prepare for a difficult conversation and dive into practicing skills to address conflict or concerns in a manner that will increase the likelihood of having a more positive outcome.


May 3rd at noon Mindfulness In Relationships

Relationships can be hard, and we can be hard on ourselves. This workshop will utilize mindfulness and social emotional learning tools to allow participants to explore how being mindful, aware, and present in relationships can be helpful.
