Want to see the budget breakdowns of Student Organizations?

We're an open book (to New School Community Members!)

The Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Transition Experiences (SLI-TE) budgets approximately anywhere between $25,000 - $35,000 year to provide funding for Registered Student Organizations. We provide returning registered student organizations anywhere from $500 to $1000 to register based on their Tier, and $25-$50 each time they participate in our semesterly involvement fairs.

Academic Year 2026 (Fall 2025 - Spring 2026)

  • • • A lot of simple financial transactions (Reimbursements, NCard creation/refill, Honorariums, Amazon, Target) can be done via  this form on Narwhal Nation

      • Most catering can be done through submitting an order on EZCater to Strombeg@newschool.edu by "Inviting a Colleague to Pay"

      • We have an example RSO Budget: The Cats with Hats club - to view best practices on how to list purchases, requests, and receipts.

University Student Senate Funding:

Important to note: The University Student Senate is a separate entity from SLI. We are advisors to the Senate, as they are a for-student-by-student entity within the University's Shared Governance. Be sure to reach out to the Senate via uss@newschool.edu for any inquiries, curiosities, or questions.
