Books

and  Other Resources

Digital/Electronic resources are accessed through Classlink

The Library promotes the use of quality resources created to teach and demonstrate the authority of material, and how to cite the source when used.  In a world overwhelmed by information in many forms of media, students are learning to be aware of what reliable means. There are many apps (applications) on the Classlink portal.  The Library Go - to sources include: Britannica and World Book encyclopedias;  Pebble GoNext; TeachingBooks.net; Rosen Learning Center; Flocabulary; Newsela; CultureGrams; Gale Elementary; SORA; Typing.com; CODE

 Public Library

Public Libraries can be useful when looking for a book that is not in the school library. With your own public library card, titles can be ordered on-line and delivered to the library of your choice (closest to where it is convenient).  Ask for more details. The variety of what can be borrowed from public libraries these days is amazing - Museum passes, backyard games. Parents may need to sign for students under 11 years old.

SORA is a student online reading app that can be found in Classlink, but it can also be downloaded to any device to access e-books and audio books.  Our access to over 500 titles is provided by BOCES.  Other library cards can be added to an individual's SORA account, adding that many more options for mobile access.
