University in the High School Courses

New Lebanon offers several dual- credit, University in the High School (UHS) courses through the State University of NY (SUNY). Students can be enrolled in these classes while in grades 10, 11 and 12 if they fulfill the appropriate prerequisite requirements. This also depends on course offerings from year to year. In order to qualify for a UHS class, you must carry an 80% average in all pre- requisite courses. For example, if you would like to take University US History in the 11th grade, you will need an 80% average in Global 9 and 10.

At the beginning of each semester, Mrs. Evans will distribute the appropriate application to each student enrolled University classes through Columbia- Greene Community College and Hudson Valley Community College. Once the college receives your application, you will be billed directly from the college. DO NOT BRING YOUR TUITION MONEY TO THE COUNSELING OFFICE! Please send this directly to the college.

Please note, courses offered from year to year depend on the master schedule and teacher availability. It is also the student's responsibility to request their college transcript upon graduation from high school.
