1st idea: Propose something. What do you want to learn how to do? Adapt your interest to a doable project in the tech room. Let's talk and find what is possible.

Material Use
All materials need to be approved for use by Mr. Blizzard. We do not have a large budget for materials and must try to be fair about everyone being able to use what they need within reason. We have some materials available, but other things that are more costly must be bought by students. You will need to fit your project to what is available, or supplement with your own materials that you source. For example, someone may want to build a longboard. The school can provide the hardwood and polyurethane for the deck, but can not afford to purchase the wheels and trucks - the student would need to uy those.
How to Choose a Project
Discover a true need - Make something for someone else, make something that someone needs or would appreciate.
Or maybe you want to learn some skill technology related - propose a project that helps you learn that skill.
Here's the thing... You probably haven't experienced a classroom like this before. There will be a lot of freedom, but this freedom comes with responsibility. When you pick a project, what you pick will be because it interests you, or you think you might be challenged to learn something while doing it, or Mr. Blizzard sees you are idle and so he tries to guess at what could interest you so that you get to work. You MUST work on something in every minute of our class time that is approved as technology related.
Remember that YOU are the best teacher of YOU. And when you work on your project, your work ethic will improve - you will become more responsible to get your work done because it will be for your own interests. Am I Right? 🤩
Mr. Blizzard will provide you access to resources and tools and some lessons, so that you can work independently. You are expected to use the internet to find out how to perform many of the tasks you will need to know to get your project done. Making good searches for how-to videos and tutorials can take time if you are unfamiliar. Be ready for Mr. Blizzard to point you in a direction to go find information. You will need to then take notes, try stuff they say, and maybe look for another perspective.
Look around. What can you do with this and that?
