Health, Safety & Security

Key Objectives:

In today’s world, the health, safety and security of students and staff are as integral to the school environment as classrooms, academics and extra-curricular activities.

If approved on December 11, 2018, the Plumsted Township School District Referendum will improve the safety and security of the learning environment for all students, including those with special needs. The referendum will fund:

• Main entrance safety renovations/additions

• A new security system/protocols

• An updated emergency communication system, which will provide staff members with a safer and easier way to contact emergency services, if needed

• Reconfiguration of the Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School parking lot to improve safety and efficiency

School safety improvements are absolutely critical in the world that our students are attending school and growing up in. The security standards of buildings are constantly increasing and it is imperative that the Plumsted Township School District stays ahead of the curve to ensure the safety of all students and staff members.
