Academics
Key Objectives:
Expand and renovate media center and cafeteria to create a student center that will include multi-media technologies and resources for the students and community. The student center will also house the Digital Media/Video Academy, an additional classroom small group rooms, a small stage for individual and one-act performances, as well as presentations. It is a fact that today’s learning environment is far different than the traditional classrooms of the 20th century school. Gone are the days of teachers standing at the front of class writing on a blackboard. Teaching our children 21st century skills demands not only acquisition of knowledge but the ability to question, research, communicate and cooperate in small groups and multi-disciplinary shared classes. These skills are developed in flexible learning environments to improve communication between students and teachers.
