Instructor Vanessa's LINC 4 class attended the community consultation pop-up event at Timms Community Centre.

The students learned about the two major investment projects considered for Langley City.  They asked questions and learned about the scope of the consultation, the types of projects considered, the funding, the timeframe and the locations considered.

In addition they provided feedback which was included as part of the community consultation.

New Directions LINC clients volunteered at the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event at Langley Derek Doubleday Arboretum, where they assisted with setup by placing lanterns along the Walk to Remember pathway; afterwards, some students, together with the New Directions Community Program Coordinator, Margaret Ann (on the far left), gathered in front of the Afghanistan Memorial, which commemorates Canadian Forces personnel who lost their lives during the Canadian mission in Afghanistan (2002–2011).
