Young Authors

Have you ever wanted your story or poem published for all to read? The Young Authors is your chance to do just that. Write your own fiction or poetry book. Your book will join BGI’s library and the Newark Public Library’s collection with your fellow classmates. 

Writing a book takes a lot of time and effort, so this contest isn’t for everyone. However, it’s a great opportunity to be creative and express yourself. Plus, we all know life can get busy. Even if you start writing a book, you can stop at any time. To write or not to write is your choice. 

Copies of these stories and poems will become part of the Newark Public Library’s Young Author section in a bound collection by either grade level or genre depending on the number of books received.

The books will join BGI’s growing Young Author collection. Parents and students can enjoy these books in the library at any time.
