Destiny Discover: Catalog Search & Holds

Placing a Hold Digitally

Place a hold on a library book from anywhere with Internet access by following these directions.

When it's your turn, the book will be checked out to you and ready to be read.

Check out: 2 books

Loan period: 2 weeks or until the next library visit

Renew: 1 time (No renews for books with a hold)

Holds (waiting in line for a book): 2 books

If you forget your books, that is okay. Bring them the next school day. You can also give it to your teacher or someone in the office to put in the library's office mailbox. It will be checked in, and then you can check out a book next time you visit.

How to look for books:

  • Find the Call Number from the computer. Write it on a scrap piece of paper if needed.

  • Use shelf markers to help return books to the right spot on the shelf.

  • Make sure the book's spine faces out, so the title and Call # are visible.

  • Only touch your own shelf marker and return it to the counter when you are done.

Damaged or lost books:

  • Let the librarian know if a book gets damaged, so it can be repaired as soon as possible.

  • Books returned badly damaged may get a damage fine based on the damage.

  • Lost books get a replacement fine based on the cost of replacing the book.

    • Lost book fines are refunded if the book is returned before the end of the current school year.
