Baseline

On entry to the school, all students undergo a 6 week assessment and induction programme, designed to ensure New Directions is the best place for the student and provide time for a formal barrage of baseline assessments to be undertaken. Students will be assessed through mainly low stakes systems – 1:1 sessions with support.

From these, a baseline is derived. For Students in Key Stage 4, Maths, English & Science are based on their BKSB score.
