The המלאס is North of Tel Aviv. The 1st reason why I picked המלאס as a city is because it is an open space and most of Israel is very close together but when I found the המלאס it was perfect because there were no cities right next to it. To access water, there is the Mediterranean sea right next to it, but i know what you're thinking, your thinking: “but we can't do that because the Mediterranean sea is filled with salt water, that won't work!” But, it will work because there is a machine called a desalination plant that converts salt water into regular drinkable water. So yes, we will have access to water.
The city layout includes roads, intersections, lakes, parking lots, buildings, parks, train tracks, sport courts, monuments, paths, bus stops, electrical components, pools, tunnels, rivers, mountains, a power plant, a bus depot, and defect detectors (A small building to detect any defects.)
The train station is necessary because people can take the train to other cities, and trains can come into the city to drop-off tourists, and residents. The station will be used by all citizens everyday to go in and out of the city. It will help business workers in particular. The university will be used for educational purposes, everyone under the age of 20 will use it.
The city layout will determine where buildings will be made. I really enjoyed this activity because it was fun, and included a lot of interesting experiences. I found making the buildings a little bit challenging. This made me think about engineering.
