BECOMING EXPERTS

What to do now?

Quick Overview of the week:

Day 1: The teacher will show the class an introduction video that shows how the body systems work together. Afterward, we are going to read the reader's theatre as a whole class and vote on what body system is the most important one.

Day 2: Investigation Day. Click on your assigned body system and look through the resources provided. Take notes. Become experts!

Day 3: Vocabulary Expert. On Day 3, you will look over your notes from Day 2, and use new resources to become experts on the vital organs that your system needs. Ms. Franco will pass out word maps and you will work as a group to fill them out.

Day 4: Planning our adventure. On Day 4, the teacher will show you an example video that will show you how you can make an adventure in your system. You will watch "The Magic School Bus: Inside Ralphie" and get ideas from the video. Then you will meet with your group and start planning your adventure. We are going to take a 'field trip' to your assigned system... so try and make it fun for the class and Amanda!

Day 5: Going on your adventure! Now that we have had time to become experts, we will write our narrative! You will be writing your narrative by yourself, using all the notes and resources available to you.
