*Tour 1, 3, and 4 Include stops at the Secwépemc Museum and Heritage Park and the Tk̓emlúps Residential School Site (formerly Kamloops Indian Residential School). The grounds, buildings, and stories represent deep intergenerational trauma and resilience. These stops are not simply a field trip, they are an act of reconciliation and a step toward deeper understanding. These learning experiences occur on the unceded territory of the Secwépemc people and are facilitated by Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc staff and community members who carry the cultural and emotional weight of the stories shared. These experiences can be deeply personal and traumatic to those affected. It is important to remember the effect of intergenerational trauma perpetuated by the residential school system. Thank you for walking into this learning space with an open heart and mind.
