Group Policy won't apply? gpo filtered out denied security ? The Following GPOs were not applied because they were filtered out?
So I need to grab some pictures, but this is here so I don't forget.
"Computer" settings - it shows in Applied but filtered out (Security)Â
Mission: Make the terminal server log out a group of users after inactivity / disconnected sessions.
So what I had was a group policy, had applied it to the user group that needed it, but when I ran GPRESULT with appropriate settings to show for the user - it would show The following GPOs were not applied because they were filtered out (Security).... I needed to apply computer settings based on users logged in.
Tried everything I found online for hours n hours, then eventually - the answer was that I needed to add the computer (ts in this case) itself to the group policy. But - to add the computer I had to click a lil checkbox (That little bastard over there) to allow the add to search and add "Computers" as well as users and groups.
Then once Flow-ts was in here - With permissions not apply
IT FUCKING WORKED!
This page is ugly as sin and laid our poorly. But if you're after information -> there it is. If you want it pretty, ask a webdev or someone who wants things to look nice. This - as usual - is more because I couldn't find EXACTLY what I needed online, and this would've gotten me to my answer quicker. That and I will hopefully not forget if because I made this.
