I&RS and PIRT Map

Step 1: Staff member identifies a student struggling academically, behaviorally, or socially, and collects evidence of the issue(s).

Step 2: Staff member contacts parent/guardian to notify them of issues. 

Step 3: Staff member completes the Google "Intake" Form 

Step 4: The student is scheduled for discussion at the next I&RS Meeting. 

• Parent is invited to attend this meeting. 

• Teacher provides more in-depth information.

• Data is analyzed.

• Action Plan is created with targeted interventions and SMART Goals.

Step 5: Interventions are monitored for 6-8 Weeks.

• Staff Member(s) takes data on how interventions are progressing.

Step 6: After 6-8 Weeks, I&RS team meets on the student again. 

• At this meeting one of the following determinations will be made;

  • Case is closed. 

  • Action Plan Continues. 

  • New Action Plan is developed. 

  • Student is referred to CST.
