In art, children learn to be creative, adventurous and to appreciate the visual arts within a well-planned art curriculum, enabling them to develop independence and resilience. The art curriculum provides children with opportunities to develop their skills using a range of media and materials. Children learn the skills of drawing, painting, printing, collage, and 3D work. 

Our needs-based curriculum enables children to develop the knowledge and understanding to make connections with other subjects and to learn about the practice of art and the life of artists, designers and craftspeople from a range of historical and cultural backgrounds. 

The knowledge, skills and understanding are a foundation for children to reflect and evaluate their work. This learning is meaningful and continuous with age-related reflection.
