"Remember that ANY failure is just an opportunity to become a better you. "

- Mrs. Burciaga

This felt like an extraordinary year!

Everyone seemed to embrace so much of what we read, and that's the best I can ask for every year - students reading novels and stories and finding enjoyment or connection.

It has truly been a privilege not just teaching this year's 8th graders but also simply spending time with them.  They're kind.  They're spirited.  And they're just such good people.

In the this last week, I hope students and I share laughs and memories of this past school year.

To all 8th graders and their families ... have a fantastic summer break!  Stay safe and PLEASE keep in touch!

Geometry: Final exam is Tuesday and Wednesday May 28 and 29. This will count as 20% of the semester grade.

Tutoring: Thursday before and after school or by appointment. mlund@neisd.net

Science may set limits to knowledge, but should not set limits to imagination.

Well, you did it! Your last week with an 8th grader! You get 73 precious days of Summer with them before they're off to high school. Thank you for sharing your historian with me! Each and everyone of them are spectacular and wonderful in their own way and I am so glad to have met all of them. If I keep writing about this I'm going to start crying!!! ANYWAY, this week we'll just be wrapping up our loose ends, exchanging tearful good-byes, and enjoying our last week together.
