ELAR 7th Grade
Honors and GT English
This week we will be diving into narrative writing, where students will compose their own personal narrative. Students will be asked to dig deep and reflect on things/people that they love deeply or reflect on how they felt when they lost someone/something of great significance in their lives.
MATH
7th Grade Honors
Unit test on equations and inequalities 9/22 and so this week begins are unit on proportional and non proportional relations.
Algebra 1
Unit test on linear functions is on Friday the 29th. Test will cover slope, domain range, and graphs of linear functions.

7th grade Honors SCIENCE
Classroom wish list ;-)
This week we will be doing something called "Cell City". Students will use their knowledge of cells they have learned over the last six weeks to make comparisons to the working parts of a city. We will be reviewing everything we have learned in preparation for our "Cell-a-bration" of Knowledge next week.

Honors Texas History
This week students will be learning about the mission system. They will be learning the roles of friars, soldiers, and natives.
Reminder: the Mission San Jose Packet can be completed anytime before November 6th.

Students are hard at work on their Rebranding a Company Logo project. They had the chance to see how company logos have changed over the year and we talked about why companies might choose to rebrand. Now, students are working on creating new logos for some of their favorite companies using what we've learned about Typography and Brands.

Wow! Those Client Graphics were amazing! Be sure to check out the Class Website (link below) and give praise to your student Graphic Designer! Remember it's never too early to have them start creating a holiday card using Photoshop, all NEISD students in the DATA program have free access to the Adobe Suite! As for next week, we will start exploring careers in the AV Comm pathway! Of course we will incorporate a design program to show off our learning and we will also start to discuss what the steps are for applying for a job! Please speak to your students about the differences between professional and casual language, as it will be assessed later this week!
