7th Grade Honors
It was great meeting some parents at Greenback night!
Students continued with solving equations with the variable on both sides and it appears that most are making progress. We have been warming up with integer operations to help. Also, I am coaching UIL (math) if students are interested.
Algebra 1
Students have been introduced to new concepts in Algebra "domain and range". We also reviewed slope which was taught last year. HW assignments are generally given through deltamath and also posted on google classroom.

7th grade Honors SCIENCE

Can you believe we are already 6 weeks into the school year!! And things are moving along great!! We will continue our discussions of cell organelles and cell theory this week. Students will have a quiz towards the end of the week over the 7 organelles they are expected to know. Reminder, EXTRA credit project due Friday, Sept 29!

Honors Texas History
This week we will be starting our study of the Spanish Colonial Era. A big portion of this unit is establishing the missions and the purpose they served. Students should have received a Mission San Jose Packet which is a test grade for Chapter 6.

Digital Media
This week in Digital Media we will start to learn about brands and how they use graphic design. Once we've done that students will begin to redesign a logo for an already popular brand/company. They're final logo redesign will count as a project grade.

Students are having fun creating original works of art in Photoshop. We will continue to explore and create! Students will research a Hispanic figure in honor of Hispanic Heritage month. They will choose one person and create an inspiring digital photo along with a Google Slides presentation highlighting key information on how their figure inspired the Hispanic culture. Students will present and TEACH other students about their inspirational person.
