Monday we will continue STAAR review. The reading STAAR test is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9th. Please make sure students are well rested and have a good breakfast!

7th grade Honors SCIENCE
Classroom wish list ;-)
Monday is the Solar Eclipse!! We have a variety of activities planned and hope that it is a great learning experience for all!! We will continue our studies of Catastrophic Events and begin to talk about the process of succession, or the strategic process of an ecosystem recovering from a disturbance.

Honors Texas History
This week we will discuss the results of the Galveston Hurricane of 1900. From there we will be conducting a unit on WWI and the new weapons that were used.

This week we are continuing to learn about the history of Film and Cinema. We will look at examples of early cinema from silent films through the digital age and compare and contrast the film making processes and quality.

This week students will update the class portfolio and their personal portfolios. Since it is a short week with the Total Eclipse and STAAR testing we will try to open Adobe Animate by the end of the week. We will review the key vocabulary of animation and explore the interface. We will practice creating motion tweens and the students will need patience as animating requires a lot of attention to detail.
