Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful and restful spring break! This week we will dive into comparing and contrasting different pieces of literature. Finding their similarities and differences, seeing how they connect in a meaningful way.
MATH
7th Grade Math Honors
This week we will learn about personal finance including how to find simple and compound interest.
Algebra I
This week Algebra will learn about exponential functions (exponential growth and decay). We will also go over arithmetic and geometric sequences.

Welcome Back!! Hope you all had a restful and rejuvenating Spring Break! Can you believe that your kiddo is a short 9 weeks from being an 8th grader!?!? Craziness!
This last grading period will fly by as there is ALL sorts of testing/trips/performances. PLEASE continue encouraging your kids to stay on top of their work! Missed days (excused or not) mean missed work that is still required to be completed.
This last grading period in Science we will be studying Ecology, beginning with the Flow of Energy, including Food Chains and Food Webs.

Honors Texas History
Welcome to our last term of the year. This week we will discuss the role of the cowboy in Texas History. Towards the end of the week we will start our unit on Oil. Students will have a oil project that will count as a test grade. I will have all the supplies they will need.

Welcome back! Hope you had a restful and enjoyable break. This week we will students will be continuing their "How To" videos as we enter the post-production phase of this project. Students will be editing their videos and the final projects will be shown in a film festival in class.

This week students will explore Adobe Animate. We will focus on tweening while creating basic animations of text and symbols. We may take a trip to the library to research African American graphic design and art through multi-medias.
