MATH

7th Grade Honors

"Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about understanding."

- William Paul Thurston, American mathematician

Welcome back to school! It is so exciting to meet all of the new students. For both Algebra and Geometry, students can access resources and assignments through google classroom. In math class the most important goal is to grow students as critical thinkers and problem solvers. This will be our focus throughout the year in everything we do, and we will continue to ask why and how to deepen our understanding. I'm looking forward to a great year!

Hi and welcome back! We had a great week in 7th grade math honors and Algebra I class. In 7th grade honors we worked solving 1 and 2 step equations as well as multi step equations. We also began the unit on real number and so covered the subsets. Algebra class worked on solving equations (multi step and distribution). We will continue the same next week. Students joined google classroom and deltamath.

Tutoring will be available after school except for tuesday from 3:45 - 4:15.
