This week we will continue learning about genetics and heredity. Genetics is the study of genes, genetic variation, and heredity in organisms. It is an important branch in biology because heredity is vital to organisms' evolution. Gregor Mendel, a Moravian Augustinian friar working in the 19th century in Brno, was the first to study genetics scientifically. We will also be talking about the different methods of reproduction, sexual or asexual, and the impact that has on the offspring.

Sugar Skulls using Adobe Illustrator

AV Comm w/ Mrs. Leyva

Last week we shifted and visited color theory and the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. This week we will be creating household robots! Have you ever imagined a robot to do your laundry? Clean the dishes? Even take the dog for a walk? Well, the students will have the space to use their imagination to create a robot to complete household chores. We will pitch our robots to a small group just like on the hit TV show Shark Tank! It is going to be a great semester! Please check out all the work we have done on the Class Portfolio, linked below.
