This week we will finish reading Down a Dark Hall, students will have a comprehensive exam on the Novel November 13th. We will also be visiting the library to conduct research for our project on Urban Legends.

This week we will practice systems of equation by method of elimination.

7th grade Honors SCIENCE
Classroom wish list ;-)
This week we are diving into the Respiratory System. As with all the systems, students are expected to know the main structures and function. Students will have the opportunity to explore a set of swine lungs to see how they work!
Although it is a short week, its a busy one!! Remember,

Wednesday , Nov 8th we will be having a campus wide Veterans Day Ceremony.
Thursday Nov 9th, is the Auschwitz Tour (in class)

Honors Texas History
This week the students will start the Holocaust PBL. We will be spending two weeks learning and discussing this tragic time in history. We will also be taking a virtual field trip of Auschwitz.

Students are learning to use Adobe Illustrator. They will be using the pen tool to create their name in block letters. They explored the pen tool with a really fun game called the bezier game. Ask them about it, I know they'd love to tell you.

This week we will be applying for a job. Students will explore the different job opportunities available for them, pick a job of interest, and create a cover letter and a resume for that position. The cover letter, resume, and thank you note will be assessed by the end of the week and will be a test grade. I will provide a rubric outlining the expectations of their application process. This will finalize our Career Exploration unit.
