Why we don't jump to conclusions
It's very easy to jump to conclusions when carrying out surveys but as this video shows it can go very wrong if carried out by an inexperienced surveyor and prove costly. This survey in Ipswich showed all the symptoms of water ingress caused by defective rainwater goods. It would have been very easy to jump to that conclusion and tell the owners if they fixed that the problem would fix itself. But we carry out our surveys by checking every single possible cause of dampness and in this case yes, the rainwater goods probably were contributing but it wasn't the only issue as you'll see.
