Mark Schneyderman was born on the 9th of November 2001, in San Diego ,California. His parents, Anya and Ivan were originally from Russia and had moved to America for Ivan’s job. However, at the age of two, Mark would move to Moscow, Russia with his family where his parents would later have their second child Ezra. The reason for them moving was that Ivan and Anya believed their children should be raised in the same place they were raised. Mark attended elementary school in Russia and speaks very little about it. This is because this time was very uneventful. Mark as well as his family lived as quiet a life as they could in the capital of Russia. When I asked what he remembered from how it looked, he said, “It was beautiful…lots of snow, especially during winter time.” Mark would live in Russia until the age of twelve where he would then move to Australia for his father’s job. Mark thinks fondly of his time in Russia however, and in many ways he favors it over America, when I asked what he meant he said “the two places are like night and day when compared to one another… many things done (in America) are so backwards, and the emphasis and idolization of the individual is used so disturbingly here”
