Why Massachusetts

Family Business:

In the 1970's, Steve and his father opened a new restaurant called Pearl Island in Waltham, MA. Then, in the 80's Steve opened his own restaurant called the Golden Lion in Auburn, MA. However, Lauren explained that "now it's a ski shop, so that [restaurant] closed."

Why choose Massachusetts?

Steve came to Massachusetts, specifically to join his father's business. According to Lauren, Wong Jang chose to come to Massachusetts for the job opportunities and he also had friends living there.

Today, Steve lives in Brighton, MA with his wife. Above, he is seen pictured with his wife and grandchildren, Matthew Yee, Megan Yee, and Lauren Yee. Steve's immigration to Massachusetts has allowed for a successful career along with his vibrant family, and his legacy lives on in the state.
