Who is Ana Galovski?
Ana Galovski is my grandmother who immigrated from Macedonia at the young age of 12. She was one of the last immigrants to come through Ellis Island and created a new life in New York and ended up in Needham towards the end of her life. Her story is inspiring, showing how she destroyed cultural norms and persisted against all odds.

Ana went to high school at West High School in 1957. It was a struggle at first with language and cultural barriers, but Ana persisted and graduated with a high school diploma.
