Chicago Illinois

In 1981, Albert and his family were invited to move to Chicago IL, and finally made a permanent stop in the states where he was asked to work for a firm. He decided that it was best for them to all move to the United States for a better opportunity, as well as for the future of his children.

However, Chicago wasn't their only option, "For our families next move, my father's friend gave us a choice and it was either Chicago or Australia." (Georgina Christensen)

Potomac Maryland

Finally, he accepted an offer from IBM to work as a software designer at various sites in Maryland. While working for IBM he had gotten three patents in his name. In 1988 he became a U.S. citizen, a lifelong goal. He retired from IBM in 1997 and started to develop solutions to several problems that had been fascinating him for many years. Simultaneously with that development, he has written more than 40 contributions that had been included in conference procedures or published in technical magazines and journals.

Needham Massachusetts

As Albert had gotten older he decided it was best for him to move to Massachusetts with his youngest daughter Georgina and her husband. He lived with them for six years working on small personal projects while also entertaining his grandkids. He would then go on to move into Fox Hill a retirement home in Westwood MA. Again working on small projects, maps, designs, drawings, etc.
