Class Descriptions

This is the recommended class for Sophomores and those starting acting.  We produce a full-length play and participate and a myriad of theatre events and acting styles.

The elite team for students committed to and passionate for theatre. We compete at Shakespeare and Region/State competitions, and produce a full-length play.

Focused on acting, choreography, and singing techniques.  We produce 1 musical in each class and compete at Region/State Theatre Competition.  MDT 2 is offered through audition after developing your skills in MDT 1.

Behind the scenes: Develop skills in lighting, sound, scenery, props, and painting. We are responsible for creating all technical aspects for 5 school plays! Tech 2 is offered after demonstration of proficiency in Tech 1.

Besides the stage, actors have opportunities in film, TV, and audio; we explore all these mediums and their unique requirements.

We watch and discuss movies! This class explores film's influence on life and pop culture. We develop skills to understand its art, ideas, and production through history, techniques, and various genres.
