What is Digital Citizenship?
Digital citizenship refers to the responsible, ethical, and safe use of technology, particularly the internet and digital devices. It involves the use of technology in ways that promote positive and constructive interactions, while also prioritizing aspects such as online safety, security, and the well-being of oneself and others in the digital realm. Digital citizenship involves concepts of digital literacy, online etiquette, critical thinking, privacy, and the responsible use of information and technology.
Students develop good habits of digital citizenship when a thoughtful and intentional curriculum is consistently embedded in regular classroom instruction in all grade levels.
