Is the quote "A readership crisis is really a leadership crisis" a reflection of learners struggling moving up year after year even if they were not reading on grade level by third grade?
Whether there is an admission on the readership-leadership crisis or not, the struggle in reading for learners is very much present. We will try to address this dilemma therefore, through looking deeper on important leadership traits and practices that will enable improvement in literacy instruction
Revisit the domains in the PPSSH and identify what domain and strand are applicable to the qualities of a literacy leader.
As Literacy leaders we must be proficient in all of the literacy domains to create relevant strategies that will ensure the development of literacy skills among the students.
