Analysis and Application
In this lesson, we will be applying what we've learned and integrate it with the SMART Goal strategy. Examine if the SMART Goals are aligned with the Shared Vision key literacy strategy.
Let us start with this Shared Vision Key Literacy Strategy. Before moving to the next image, try to determine first if the SMART Goal is aligned with the Shared Vision.
Do the SMART Goals inside the green boxes align with the strategy?
What do you think are the keywords that show alignment (such as common focus on students) with the Shared Vision statement?
Answer: Note that though the critical thinking part of the strategy is unpacked in the Goal,
the interest and enjoyment part has yet to be concretized in a sub-goal (e.g., maintaining a reading journal where students write what they found enjoyable in a reading assignment or assessment).
Let's try another one.
The examples above have shown how you can concretize your Shared Vision with SMART Goals. Continue practicing how to formulate and compose your Shared Vision Statement and SMART Goals.
In the last lesson, you were asked to compose your Shared Vision Statement. Your core output in this module is to formulate SMART Goals that are aligned with your Shared Vision Statement. You can use your Shared Vision Statement you composed in the first module. Make sure you consult with your facilitator in accomplishing these tasks. Your Shared Vision and SMART Goals are essential components leading up to your Project Initiative Plan as the core output in this training.
