SST/RTI Process

Student Success Team (SST)

• August/September-Any student who has a psychoeducational assessment or the previous teacher sees a need will have a scheduled SST in the fall (Keep a running Google Doc)

• An SST may be called midyear when the NDV CASTEL Team and homeroom teacher would like to work to best support a student and their family with something specifically that requires collaboration 

• Typically include homeroom teacher, principal (if it is necessary), and member(s) of the C.A.S.T.E.L. team (Middle school also includes specialist teachers)

Response to Intervention (RTI)

• RTIs go in those students who have psychoeducational evaluations with each trimester report card

• The RTI explains to families the accommodations and modifications a child may be receiving in the classroom, and how they have been working that particular trimester
