NDV Mission and Philosophy
At our best, this is WHAT we do:
Grounded in the Marist Charism, French Tradition, and guided by the example of Mary: the mission of École Notre Dame des Victoires Catholic Community is to nurture the whole child spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically and to support a diverse group of learners who endeavor to develop an inclusive and compassionate world.

C.A.S.T.E.L. Rationale
(Collaborative Advancement and Support Team for Exceptional Learners)
In keeping with our mission to support a diverse group of learners, the C.A.S.T.E.L program (formerly Resource program) consists of a team of teachers who collaborate with neurodiverse students, their parents, faculty, and staff to advance and support exceptional learners in TK-8th grade.
Exceptional learners include students with learning differences that need support throughout their time at NDV, those that may need challenging enrichment beyond the curriculum of their classrooms, and those that may need specialized explicit instruction for a short period of time. The process of identifying exceptional learners begins with homeroom teachers and staff who then work with parents to create processes, procedures, and actionable steps to best support the student(s) both at home and at school.
Connections to Research and Faith
Our belief in the sanctity of human life and the inherent dignity of the human person is the foundation of all the principles of our social teaching” (USCCB, 2014, n.p.). “As such, Catholic schools need to ensure that their processes advance the concept of human dignity” (Boyle, 2020).
“Within the field of Catholic education a recognition is growing that Catholic Social Teaching not only justifies, but indeed obligates Catholic schools to pursue creating inclusive service delivery systems diligently to meet students’ special needs” (Scanlan, 2009)
