Substitution/Waiver forms are required for any deviation from published curriculum.
Sub/Waiver forms are available in Campus Connection > Faculty & Advisor Homepage > eForms > Registration & Records > Admin-Request to Waive/Sub
Please be careful with the wording "Is no longer required" when discussing degree requirements. Students matriculate under a specific year's curriculum, and when we make curricular changes it is not retroactive. Students are required to take the courses listed in the curriculum, unless we have a compelling reason not to.
For example, EDUC 475: Reading in the Content Area was briefly required for licensure under state law. It is no longer required for licensure, but it IS required for the Music Education degree for some older students. The wording "EDUC 475 is no longer required for licensure" is appropriate in this instance.
For Undergrad/MMus Music: Kyle Vanderburg or Tyler Wottrich (Kyle doesn't get to approve his own forms)
FOR UNDERGRAD MUSIC ED STUDENTS: Include Teresa Shume (teresa.shume) as a secondary approver.
To add users to approver list: Have Tyler email our degree analyst (Rachel Stevens)
When submitting sub forms for transfer students with multiples of the same course title (for example, MUSC 1XX), please list the actual course that was taken at the other institution.
