Starting off the year strong, NHSDA welcomed the dance community through a week-long workshop series taught by the council members. Members of the dance teams and classes also attended a "welcome to RCDC" bonding event to get to know each other and introduce some plans for the year!

Halloween in Pardini was a success with both varsity and junior varsity teams performing student choreographed pieces! Shoutout to Maddie + Deeksha (v) and Ca + Harper (jv) for their hard work in creating and teaching the dances. Dancers also attended a beginner tap workshop led by NHSDA officers Annabel '25 and Maddie '25.

NHSDA vice president Kaitlyn '25 led us into November with a jazz workshop! The council worked as team to bring together the dancers through a thanksgiving themed bonding event.

Starting off a busy month for the dance program, our dancers represented ND in the Los Altos Christmas Parade. To celebrate the holidays, both varsity and jv teams performed in our Christmas in Pardini festival and Christmas in the Park in downtown SJ. Huge thanks to Isabelle '25 (v) and Ms. Scheib (jv + dance class) for the awesome holiday choreography, which was performed at both Christmas in the Park and Christmas in Pardini! As our monthly workshop, NHSDA social officer Maddie '25 and varsity member Natalie '27 led a musical theatre workshop in collaboration with the ND thespian society!

The Gallery Walk, our first dance show was a resounding success thanks to the hard work of all our performers! Including dances from both teams and dance class, as well as small group numbers submitted by NHSDA members, our dancers put on an amazing show! Closing out the month, varsity dancers Kylie '27 and Thanh '28 led a fun and challenging jazz workshop.

Showcasing choreography from our Gallery Walk show, our JV and varsity performers had the opportunity to dance at the Santa Clara University Basketball halftime! Go Broncos!! Our NHSDA vice president Kaitlyn '25 led this months workshop with an intermediate lyrical class for our dancers!

To celebrate spirit week, our NHSDA officers organized and led workshops in a variety of styles, giving our dancers the opportunity to try new types of dance and practice their technique! Our class cheerleaders also energized the school during Spirit Week with their incredible routines! Finally, the council introduced the first ever ND dance intensive, inviting guest teachers Imani Hopkins and Wendy Walker to work with our students.

April was full of firsts! Through the organization Sunday Friends, a few of our NHSDA members led a community service dance class! Working with the members of the program, our dancers taught the basics of jazz and ballet as well as fun stretches. Our honor society also participated in a photo shoot, courtesy of photographer Anna '26! Closing out their year of performances, our cheerleaders showcased their talents through a hiphop dance!
