In the Summer of 2019, I spent twenty-five days studying visual arts at Cow House Studios in Co. Wexford, Ireland. I and eleven other students spent everyday in the studio creating, bonding, and learning almost entirely technology-free. The generous family who owns the property, the O'Gormans, open their property every summer to a select group of students from around the world. In my group, there were eight students from America, two from Great Britain, one from Spain, and one from Serbia.
"Cowhouse was not special to me because it was the chance of a lifetime, or even because I spent a month on a farm doing what I love most, but because the chance that we, kids chosen at random from around the globe, would ever meet, is so incredibly slim."
I spent 8+ hours in the studio everyday creating some of the best work I've ever produced.
"While we were in class, the prompts we were given were so specific that one might expect to see multiple copies of the same still life or landscape; the actual result was very different. "
