I founded the Latin Student Union in my junior year alongside two other girls. Together, the three of us worked to create a safe space for Latin students, and to bring awareness of the Latin community and its struggles to our school. As a student officer of the organization, I have assisted in the planning of fundraisers and events, as well as the logistics of every meeting. Being a part of the Latin Student Union has helped me find an extremely understanding community, grow pride for my identity, and help represent the Latin community at Notre Dame.
The Latin Student Union, Asian American Alliance, and Black Student Union took part in a Heritage Day, where individuals could share food from their culture with the entire school community. The LSU contributed dishes hailing from Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, and Colombia.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, members of the LSU worked with Diversity Club to create a bulletin board highlighting the achievements of Latinx Artists.
The Latin Student Union ended their Hispanic Heritage Month 2022 celebration with a bracelet sale that was partnered with The Pulsera Project. LSU members sold bracelets that were hand-made by individuals from Nicaragua and Guatemala to the school community and raised over $850 to give back to The Pulsera Project. The money raised goes to help fund women's education in Latin America, create fair trade jobs for Central American artisans, and support entrepreneurship programs in Central America.
