In my American Literature class, we completed a combined research writing, presentation, and public speaking project on an issue that one feels strongly about. I chose to research the current Illegal Immigration Policy and I utilized all of the elements of rhetoric {ethos, pathos, and logos} to convey the loss of innocence millions of immigrants face.
As a final research project in my Catholic Morality class, I decided to research more in-depth on the Catholic Church's view on immigrants and refugees. Read more to learn about this fascinating and controversial issue!
To go along with our unit on Religions, we were tasked to visit various sacred spaces, such as Catholic Churches, Jewish Synagogues, and Buddhist temples and then research a bit about each location.
Read my responses below to the following questions based on Sonia Navario's TED Talk titled Solving Illegal Immigration For Real!
Below are group presentations about environmental-related resources found around the world!
Below I compare and contrast the topic of arranged marriage in the Hasidic Judaism and Druze religions as well as the education system in the Jehovah's Witness and Amish religions!
All seniors participate in an independent capstone project that includes investigation, preparation, and presentation of an 18 to 25 page research paper at the conclusion of the academic year. The topic of the research paper is selected by each student and can cover any subject area. I am researching The United States’ Prison and Justice System and its Inequality on the Basis of Race, Wealth, and Status.
Below is my Senior Research Proposal that covers more in-depth on what I will be doing for my project!
