In honor of International Day of the Girl, The Center for Global Leadership hosted a guest speaker to discuss global competence, citizenship, and leadership. Author and speaker, Homa Tavangar, provided insightful and motivating words when considering what it means to be engaged and influential global citizens in the 21st century, especially as young women with high aspirations.

In November of 2018, I had the opportunity to host a student named Elenor from our sister school in Singapore for a day. I enjoyed taking her to my classes, giving her a tour of our campus, and helping her experience what a typical day at Notre Dame is like. We then participated in a "Design Thinking" challenge where we were to create a new and improved backpack tailored for our generation.
