Senior Director, Teacher Formation and Education Policy
John Schoenig is the Senior Director of Teacher Formation and Education Policy for the University of Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE). In this role, he leads the ACE Teaching Fellows Program - the largest provider of Catholic school teaching talent in the United States - and its Program for Educational Access (PEA), an advocacy and leadership formation enterprise that helps develop and implement policy that expands financial access to faith-based schools.
He earned his BA and M.Ed from the University of Notre Dame and his JD from the Notre Dame Law School.
Associate Director, Program for Educational Access
Collin Gortner works to advance education policy that empowers families and promotes educational equity by supporting the administrative and programming dimensions of ACE's Program for Educational Access. Additionally, Collin assists with the work of the ACE Teaching Fellows and the American Indian Catholic Schools Network.
Previously, Collin taught middle school social studies and writing at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in Oklahoma City as a member of ACE 27. He attended the University of Notre Dame ('20) and studied political science with minors in Constitutional Studies and Education, Schooling, and Society.
