Hi! My name is Megan Valley and I am one of the school based clinician's here at North Country Union Junior High. I was born and raised in the Northeast Kingdom and graduated from Lake Region Union High School in 2006. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in 2010 from Lyndon State College in the field of Human Services, then, in 2018 I received my Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johnson State College (now Northern Vermont University-Johnson). I obtained my License in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May of 2020 and received my credentials as a National Certified Counselor shortly after.
For over 14 years, I have worked in the field of mental health and have worked in many of the local schools as both a School Based Clinician as well as a Home/School Coordinator. I have been working here at the Junior High for over 11 years now! In addition to working in the school, I have a private practice where I work with clients of all ages.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, photography, and reading.
