The Mobile Mug was created in 2023 by Cheryl Bugbee with one simple goal: to bring joy to the educators in our school. Knowing how hard teachers and staff work each day to support and inspire students, the Mobile Mug began as a small way to show appreciation — one cup of coffee and one baked good at a time.
What started as a gesture of gratitude within the school walls has grown into something much bigger. Today, the Mobile Mug continues to honor our educators while also spreading joy throughout the broader community, recognizing the hard work and dedication of those who make a difference every day.
"The Mobile Mug provides real-world learning experiences for students.
It helps them build skills while making them feel like they have a true purpose."
Mobile Mug is built on one simple belief:
A small treat can make a big difference.
Mobile Mug empowers students through real-world work experiences that develop independence, communication, and career-ready skills — all while giving back to the community we serve. Operating on a donation-based model, supporters are invited to contribute what they can, directly sustaining hands-on learning opportunities and helping the program continue to grow.
Mobile Mug is a student-run, work-based learning initiative at North Country Union High School. What started as a simple idea , delivering coffee and baked goods and we have grown into something much bigger.
We don’t just serve treats. We serve connection, confidence, community impact, and most importantly JOY!
Just as in the food industry, The Mobile Mug takes cleanliness , personal hygiene, and food safety very seriously. Every measure has been taken to ensure that the utmost cleanliness procedures are followed. This includes frequent and thorough handwashing, hair ties, and the maintenance of clean surfaces and surroundings.
Every delivery is an opportunity to:
Build communication skills
Practice responsibility
Strengthen teamwork
Grow confidence
Make someone smile
Mobile Mug gives students hands-on experience in:
Food preparation
Customer service
Money handling
Order tracking
Marketing & promotion
Time management
Students take ownership of the process — from baking to budgeting to delivery.
We are learning today to build careers tomorrow.
