About Me

In May 2020, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology (Microbial Biotechnology option) from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. As an undergraduate, I gained two years of professional experience as a researcher for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. I was accepted into the George H. Cook Scholars Program, an honors thesis program for undergraduate seniors in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. While in the program, I considered applying to PhD programs in microbiology. As I was exploring these programs, I realized I was not as interested in academic research as I thought I was. This led me to apply to Professional Science Master's programs, and to then gain acceptance into some of these programs across the United States- one of them being the Master of Microbial Biotechnology (MMB) program at North Carolina State University. I began my graduate studies at NC State in August 2020, and hope to work in business development or consulting for an agricultural or environmental biotechnology company.
