Open Science

Why Open SCience?

The availability of technology and information is producing many questions about how knowledge is made, shared, and accessed worldwide. "Open science" is a phase used to encompass some of those evolutions in how research is done and distributed.

Open Science is a set of practices like open data and citizen science, based on principles to "increase transparency and reliability, facilitate more effective collaboration, accelerate the pace of discovery, and foster broader and more equitable access to scientific knowledge and to the research process itself."
