Digital Footprint Poster

The objective of this assignent was to create a digital poster about a spefic topic that connects to an ISTE standard.

The ISTE standard I chose was that "Students cultivate and manage their digital idenity and reputation and are aware of the perimance of their actions in the digital world". With this in mind I decided to focus my poster on the imporatnace of manging your digital footprint.

I created my digital poster on Canva. My sources were collected and organized using symbaloo.

Tour of NC State's College of Education

My partner Mia and I created a short video tour of the College of Education. We set out to make a fun and intriguing video (inspired by MTV's Welcome to My Crib). While filming the video was fun, the editing was more complicated. Mia used iMovie to edit our video clips together, speed some up, and add the background music.

The goal of this project was also to create an accessible video. How we did this was to make sure the video had accurate closed captions. Make sure you turn them on while you watch!

Novel Study Choice Board

One of my favorite projects we completed this semester was the creation of our novel choice board. First, we learned about all the benefits of using choice boards in the classroom. They foster independence and creativity in the classroom because students have the freedom to choose assignments that will benefit them.

I worked with two other students, Mia and Raina, to create our choice board for the graphic novel Drama. We each created two assignments for the activity with focuses on different subject areas. As a gorup we had to decide the overall desgin of our board and we worked together to create thoughtful, clear instructions for the activities.

My two contributions were the Theater Scavenger Hunt and the Act it Out! video. The goal of the scavenger hunt for students is to a social studies lesson by broadening students' knowledge about the history of theater through learning about Shakespeare. For the Act it Out! video I was inspired by the College of Education Tour video we had to make in class.

Choice Board

Technology Timeline

Technology is ever changing! Especially in the classroom. I created a timeline of technology in the classroom to show it has been evolving.

When we think about technology we have to broaden our scope to think about all different developments of technology. The first pencil to newest Mac Book is technology. It's not all about computers!

My favorite part of this assignment was incoporating the pieces of technology that impacted my school expeience. Especally the SmartBoard which was on the most memoriable new pieces of technology in my classroom.
